4th of July and crafts!

I know I’m so behind on posting about stuff!! I really need to try and stay more up to day as it’s now almost a month later and I’m just now getting around to it!! Anyways every year on the 4th of July we always go to the party at Cindy and Givi’s house- we’ve literally been doing this for the last 11 years!! I know there’s other parties out there and other firework displays besides the ones in Sanford but it’s just so much fun and I love getting to see everyone that it’s just not an option to go anywhere else!!

This year I saw a blog on pinterest about how to make you’re over flag tank top. Tammy and decided that they would be perfect for us to make for the party. So on Monday afternoon prior to the 4th, Jeb set up a work bench for us in her back yard and we got to crafting.

Step 1: We printed out about 3 sheets of stars, cut them out and taped them to our shirts.

Step 2: Place sheets of paper around the stars to keep the spray paint from the other sections.

Step 3: Spray paint over the stars

Step 4: Using painting tape create lines all down the shirt and then after covering the stars spray paint the entire uncovered part of the shirt.

After removing the stars and tape we had an american flag!!
Last step was to cut the sleeves and neck line of the shirt to create a tank top and then we tied the back of the shirt together with scraps from the sleeves. We were very proud of our shirts and they were a hit at the party!

Me ready to head to the party in my flag shirt!
Here we are representing on the 4th of July!!!
The party was a blast! There’s always so much good food and good company every year. And They’re yard and dock is the perfect place to watch the fireworks!! It was also little Sloanie girls first 4th of July so that was exiting and clearly it was all about her as always!! Here are some pictures of our day!!
